Why oh why would she start with a photo of Kroger, you ask? Because this is THE PLACE to be tonight in Lynchburg, VA. You see, the National Weather Service has issued a "WINTER STORM WARNING" (why does the NWS always write in all caps?) beginning at noon tomorrow and going through 7 p.m. Saturday, with a foot of snow expected. Let me go ahead and do the math for those of you up north.... 12 inches of southern snow = 576 inches of northern snow. Lynchburg will be closed. Closed. Thus, everyone was at Kroger today stocking up.

I, on the other hand, was there buying cake-making supplies for a party that very well may not happen for Ben on Saturday. The reality is that nobody is going to come out for a party in that mess, and the church (where we are holding it) will not be plowed by then. Sigh.

On a happier note, today Ali, Ben and I ran errands, including a brief trip to the mall. The kids just love the rides, even when they are not moving. Could she be happier?

This afternoon, Eric had a cavity filled (no pics of that fun event). He was freaked out but did great in the end and was pleased to report it did not hurt.

Then tonight, Eric had his Cub Scouts Christmas party. Den 1 (Eric's group) sang a holiday song. That was quite a sight. :)

So, now I am at home in my toasty house, getting ready to sew presents for the kids for Christmas. Wish me luck, and say a little prayer that the storm passes. Literally.

Wow! You are expecting more snow than we have had so far! Sorry about that--I remember well what snow does in Va. Hoping the weather is good next Weds. but they are saying a big snow is coming about then.
Love to all--Judy
