We cleaned out the playground equipment in the backyard today, including the sandbox, so that we could add sand for this summer. James found THIS lovely little guy underneath, may she rest in peace.
And YES, that is a black widow... and a big one. Good thing James found it instead of me, because if I had, the entire sandbox would have been chucked over the fence into the woods. We had a LONG talk with Eric about never ever touching these things. Blech!
So, in the process of this cleaning, Ben got himself totally doused with water from the hose and was LOVNG every minute of it (not that you can tell from this photo). The kid was CAKED with mud.
So what was Eric doing this time, you may ask? He was doing his best NOT to get wet or dirty. His new thing is wearing these high boots outside so that he does not get his shoes messy. Could 2 kids be any more different?
Taking another step backward... today was haircut day for both boys. Here is the before photo. No - Eric does not have a black eye - he was balancing a flower petal on his eyelid.
