We got all the outdoor decorations up today, along with the nativities and the wreaths indoors.
Held off on the tree so that the boys could both help this year. The plan is to do that tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, take a look at my little Mommy-in-training. I saw her sitting in her little chair with her baby and grabbed up my camera. She is loving those babies.
Our biggest excitement of the day, however, was seeing Santa. We picked Eric up from school at 3:30 and drove over to the mall (beating the rush, mercifully!). It was the first year, I think, that all my kids would go up by Santa. Eric talked up a storm (asked for the Bat Cave) and Ben was really shy, but managed to confirm he wanted a bike and the Bat Cave. Ali kept a firm grip on Daddy and a close eye in the man in red, but she did cooperate. To conclude the night, we ended up at Target for a couple things (cat litter and fleece jackets - what fun!), and Eric gave us a flashback to Christmas 2007 (AKA the year of the talking parrot meltdown). This time around, it was a toy called "Alive. White Tiger Cub." The toy bats his eyes, purrs, and is super cute, and Eric was in love. He did not quite manage to pull out ALL the stops from 2007 (no tears this time), but he was pretty pitiful. Why oh WHY do we go to Target at the end of December?
